It’s a very sad time for the Equessense team. We have lost a most valued and special family member. On May 24, 2014, Calinda Vickrey, passed away in her home in Marion, Texas. Calinda was a loyal and loving friend. She generously gave much of her time, energy and financial support to Equessense.
She was an accomplished horse person and was willing to share her knowledge and skills by teaching a horsemanship class to our volunteers. This effort exponentially increased safety, risk management and efficiency. As a licensed insurance agent, she researched our insurance policies in depth and helped us meet compliance mandates of which we had been unaware.
She guided us in the training and refining of new and/or spoiled horses. She tirelessly helped in the treatment and doctoring of horses that fell ill or were injured. And for a recent play day she and her husband, Clyde donated the beautiful trophies and one third of the medals because it was her mission to insure that our athletes possess a tangible representation of their success to accentuate their pride.
In her 59 years of life she contributed much to the world and to Equessense. We love her and already miss her terribly.
♥Gone but not forgotten, you are always in our hearts. Rest in Peace dear friend.♥
